Koinpack enables existing brands of fast-moving consumer goods (“FMCGs”) to sell their products such as soaps, detergent, dish care, shampoo, and food zero-waste, while taking care of the operations behind it. The reuse system will be fully integrated with the FMCGs, as follows: 1. Koinpack supplies reusable packages to FMCGs. 2. FMCGs fill their products in Koinpack packages. 3. Koinpack distributes the finished goods to Koinpack’s points of sale and sells directly to consumers via our online store. 4. Points of sale sell the finished goods to consumers, adding a deposit fee to the purchase price. 5. Consumers use the products and return the empty packages to the points of sale. The empty bottles can also be picked up by Koinpack if consumers are purchasing online. They will receive a cashback when they return the empty packages. 6. Koinpack collects empty bottles from the store. 7. This system is maintained by a dashboard and a brand-agnostic mobile application of Koinpack. 8. Koinpack cleans the empty bottles and provides them again to the FMCGs for refilling. As a result, the system is completely closed, there is no plastic waste/ leakage, while the consumer’s experience has become better and the brand can maintain their current business model and operations. Besides being impactful, Koinpack’s model is desirable, feasible, and viable. Koinpack is: • Designed for local context, making zero waste affordable and available to lower-income consumers. We offer a convenient solution, which saves end-consumers 10-20% in costs. • Koinpack empowers local micro-entrepreneurs such as warung stores, peer-to-peer sellers and waste bank as our retail partners, enabling them up to 15% income increase. • Offering FMCG companies a convenient, circular alternative for the lower-income market, replacing single-use sachets and reducing plastic pollution. FMCG companies pay a fee for Koinpack’s services, replacing the purchasing of new disposable packaging. • Replacing the single-use packaging with multiple-use packaging, freeing up for sufficient margin to run the circular model. The model is highly scalable through partnerships with FMCG companies. Currently, Koinpack is already available on the market and providing its solution. The next step is to develop the solution to be ready for scaling widely.
