Refill, Return, and Contribute with the UMILE Program

UMILE
”UMILE Program” is a program launched by Unilever Japan to help create a waste-free world with consumers, where plastics are treated as a resource. In this program, consumers are encouraged to take two small actions in everyday life. One is buying personal care products in refill pouches, which use 70-90% less plastic than bottles. Another is bringing in refill pouches and bottles, “thoroughly washed and dried” after use at home, to our collection boxes at retail stores. By taking part in this program, consumers can earn points called “UMILE” which can be redeemed to various rewards, while contributing to plastic reduction, recycling and upcycling. We aim to create a platform for circular economy by working with partners including municipalities, government organizations, and companies across industries. Please join in.
