Micro plastic sampling & analysis

OSUMI Co.,Ltd. offers support for microplastic collection from marine water, river water, waste water, process water, and soil, to conduct microplastic analysis. Utilizing the experience of environmental analysis cultivated over many years, OSUMI Co.,Ltd. provides an integrated system which includes: 1. On-site microplastic collection Sampling using the “Albatross” owned by Pirika Inc. is also available. 2. Pre-treatment and picking If necessary, the microplastic is screened, separated by specific gravity, acid-treated, etc. 3. Sample observation or size measurement The microplastic observation, photography, and size measurement are conducted with a stereomicroscope. 4. Material judgement The material (polyethylene, polypropylene, etc.) of the microplastic is determined by spectral analysis using microscopic FT-IR, etc.
